Training

Posted by Ryan Middleton on

Hello everyone! First, let me start off by thanking the amazing supporters we have! Our team was tremendously blessed with financial support, and we clearly feel your prayer support. Please keep praying for us.

We do need your prayer support as it pertains to sleep. Several of us have been having significant trouble getting normal sleep. For instance, after only getting a couple hours of sleep last night, I crashed as soon as I go to my room last night somewhere around 9PM. I woke up, wide awake, at 12:30AM. I fell asleep for an additional hour at 5:15AM. So, I am groggy right now as I write this.

Yesterday, we got trained up on cultural differences, strategizing on how to initiate discussions with the students we will be interacting with in the upcoming days, and much more.

In the evening, we went to a meeting with students that were leaders in the ministry. I had the opportunity to give a message through the help of my interpreter, Petra. It was an awesome experience to be able to encourage them to Go! into the mission field as we are instructed in the Great Commission and also share with them the vision of the Bible Chapel as it related to international mission. I was also able to share with them our partnerships and show them photos of Kenya and Thailand.

Today, we will be venturing out. Today is Cru's national day of prayer (morning) and this afternoon we will be doing some evangelism on a campus. Fun stuff! Pray for our day as we get to share the Gospel with students, many will be hearing it for the very first time!
