On Thursday and Friday, we again taught at high school English classes at two different schools and invited the students to FEK (which is the name for Cru in Hungary) events in Budapest and also to FEK’s summer English camps in Hungary in July this summer. Also, on Thursday, several of us conducted “random” evangelism discussions alongside FEK interpreters with individuals at nearby college campuses, in an effort to build relationships between seekers and local Christian missionaries who can continue evangelism and discipleship.
On Friday night, we attended a FEK (Cru) event in their building in the center of Budapest. These events are for high school students, and there are 5-10 high schools within a ten minute walk of FEK’s central location. The gospel was clearly shared.
For anyone interested in participating in mission trips, this trip to Hungary is an excellent opportunity to evangelize and encourage youth in high school as well as other people that we meet on college campuses or elsewhere during our time in Hungary. We have several high school youth and college-age students here from other U.S. churches who are serving very effectively through their direct gospel message communication now as well as by preparing to continue those relationships over social media by trading contact information on platforms such as Instagram. In addition, there are American adults here who have returned to Budapest as many as twelve times, again maintaining evangelistic relationships with Hungarians over email or other platforms. This is a great experience for multi-cultural relationship-building and evangelism.
