We started off the day with Church at Faith House. Then left for a resort for a few days. This is a very special getaway for the girls as they don’t leave Faith House much. After some time in the pool and a nice dinner, Glenn and Bill led a discussion on safe traits to look for in a boyfriend or husband, followed by a crowning ceremony as we are princesses of the most high king (Hebrews 2:7)
What a joy to be at Faith House. Our team received a warm welcome complete with flowers. Even the many new girls are saying “We love you!” And we say it right back!
--------
We joined them Sunday morning for a beautiful worship service led by the girls. The theme of the sermon by the new pastor was wisdom. Hmmm. Our team devotions include Eph. 1:7-8 ”In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding.“
Listening to them sing is a bit of heaven on earth. We then headed off to a little resort area where we would help the girls lead an outreach camp for the refugee children. Today was preparing and planning for that camp but of course also swimming.
There are 50 million human trafficked people in our world today. We can’t rescue all of them. But we can bring hope and healing to these 50 precious girls here at Faith House rescued from war-torn Myanmar.
Seeing them embrace their faith and have hope for the future is exciting. When you ask them who are you in unison they exclaim “I am a child of God!” Tonight Bill and Glenn led a great discussion on dangerous traits for a boyfriend or husband and safe traits. Maria chimed in to bring some application to things that had happened to some of these girls.
Tomorrow begins the outreach camp where the gospel will be clearly explained. Please pray for the salvation of those who don’t yet know Jesus
