Freedom, friendships, and fun!

Today was a fruitful day filled with love, laughter, and tears.

We attended three sessions of the women’s conference, worshipped in Spanish, made beautiful crafts, and laughed until our ribs hurt (and our “Embera skirts came undone”)!

As I reflect on the teaching from the morning session, I am reminded of the freedom we have in Christ.  his message has no boundaries, the blood of Christ gives freedom to everyone, everywhere.

Watching this team step out of their comfort zones has been extremely encouraging and humbling. Amanda and Lindsay shared their testimonies in the morning and I (Jen Z) shared mine mid-day. We prayed that our stories would land in the hearts of the Panamanian women and have received confirmation that it has!  God is so good, and the women of Panama are stunning inside and out!

The conference was filled with women from all over (Panama, Honduras, Nicaragua, Emberia Tribe…..).

During the afternoon/evening session, Julia and Jennifer C shared their testimonies.

Saturday evening was the highlight of the conference. It was a cross-culture celebration.

Everyone dressed up in traditional attire of a country or culture from anywhere in the world.

The crescendo was the Ms. Panama contest. Where some women competed in a beauty contest to be crowned as Ms. Panama. Everyone cheered for all the contestants. Laughter was rampant!

The amazing part of the conference was how women loved, respected, and supported one another equally even if they didn’t know one another.

It’s amazing to see the beautiful work God is doing beyond our borders. He is a God who testifies to His goodness and faithfulness, and we got to witness the testimony of others do the very same! God used everyone’s testimony to touch someone in attendance.
